James is the Area Director of Operations for Bloom Senior Living’s Indiana Region. He was previously Bloom at Kokomo, Bloom at German Church and Bloom at Eagle Creek’s Executive Directors. James is responsible for overseeing daily operations and providing support to Bloom’s Indiana communities, ensuring high quality care and services are provided to residents and achieving high resident satisfaction. Like the Bloom owners who were inspired after experiencing the challenge of finding the right home for their grandmother when she began suffering from Alzheimer’s, there is a touching personal story behind James’ passion for senior care. James believes in offering a modern, lifestyle approach to healthcare that caters to the needs of each individual. He shares Bloom’s vision, core values and is committed to creating a living environment that fosters self-growth and self-actualization for our residents by providing them with the tools, resources and encouragement to flourish. Before joining Bloom, James worked for national providers as the Executive Director and Director of Admissions and Marketing for Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing communities in Indiana. Before becoming a licensed Health Facility Administrator, James ran his own commercial production company specializing in corporate and large-scale entertainment (for clients such as the Indianapolis, Colts, Harrah’s Casino, Wonka Candies and Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association); and worked in the beverage and automotive industries. He is also a professional magician. James attended Indiana State University and is working towards his Master’s Degree in Arts at University of Indianapolis. He resides near Greenfield, Indiana with his wife and children.
Helga is the Executive Director responsible for overseeing daily operations of the community, ensuring quality care and services are provided to residents and achieving high resident satisfaction. Helga is a true Bloom success story! Helga started with Bloom as Bloom at Eagle Creek’s Dietary Services Director before being promoted to Community Relations Director and ultimately Executive Director. Helga is a proven leader with not only the right talents, but a commitment to Bloom, its residents and our mission and culture! Prior to Bloom, Helga worked for Greenfield-Central Community Schools where she received several awards including a 5 Star Rating for operating the school’s dietary system deficient free for five consecutive years. Helga attended International Business College and University of Phoenix. She resides near Greenfield, Indiana with her children.
Ashley is the Wellness Director responsible for overseeing resident health care services, the medication delivery system, in-service training of the Health Services Department and conducting assessments.
Jalene is the Life Enrichment Coordinator responsible for planning and coordinating community-sponsored activity, exercise and wellness programs for the Assisted Living residents, as well as, ensuring our residents continue to live life to their fullest potential, enjoying their favorite activities while discovering new ones, and blooming into their best selves through growth and discovery. Jalene is a seasoned event planner, and her creativity and enthusiasm is second to none.
Marilyn is the Memory Care Director responsible for overseeing the care in our safe and secure Memory Care program. She is also responsible for planning and coordinating community-sponsored activity, exercise and wellness programs for Memory Care residents, as well as, ensuring our residents continue to live life to their fullest potential, enjoying their favorite activities while discovering new ones, and blooming into their best selves through growth and discovery. Alzheimer’s and dementia do not stop an artist from wanting to paint, a fisherman from wanting to fish or a dancer from wanting to dance. While some residents may have lost their short term memories, Marilyn’s mission, through our specialized programming and full calendar of activities and wellness programs, is to stimulate the long term memories that remain intact allowing our residents to continue being who they have always been.
Sherry is the Business Office Manager responsible for maintaining day-to-day business office operations and procedures, including payroll, rent deposits and resident billing.
Craig is the Director of Maintenance responsible for maintenance, repairs and improvements to the community and keeping our residents’ homes and surroundings in a clean, comfortable and safe condition. Craig loves working and interacting with our residents and families on a daily basis to ensure our residents are safe and happy.
Alisha is the Dietary Service Director responsible for overseeing the Dietary Department and makes delicious and nutritious home-cooked meals from scratch every day for our residents using only the freshest, seasonal ingredients. Our residents enjoy a five-star dining experience lead by Alishar filled with a rich assortment of menu options. In collaboration with our Registered Dietician, Alishar incorporates resident’s personal recipes, special requests, old time favorites and specific dietary needs so our well-balanced gourmet menus are designed with their health, personal tastes and preferences in mind. Understanding how important great food is to our residents, Alishar is consistently introducing exciting new cuisines for the community to enjoy.
